This necklace is made from a real bear claw purchased at a native craft supply store and cleaned by me. Claw is approximately 2 inches in length and the necklace itself is 20 inches. The claw has been left in its natural state which means that it may have a few minor scratches. Only the base has been coated in a clear, non-yellowing finish. The stones are howlite chips of different shapes and sizes which does give this piece a bit of weight. Closes with a hook and eye clasp.
Thank you! I've been using just simple stone chips with my bear claws because I'm not super creative when it comes to these kind of things. I got the claws from Iroqrafts at the Six Nations of the Grand River Reservation. The large ones sell quickly, but they usually always have small available. They're cheap, but have a lot of raw flesh on them. I can't remember how far away you are from here, but if you need some, we can always work something out for next time I'm there. I think they ship as well.
Ah, awesome. I'm in London, so I think it's about a half hour from here. I've been there, but it was *years* ago. I'll have to try to remember how to get there! C=
